Africa
Joe Fry knows the needs in Africa. Joe raised his family in Senegal, Africa. For seventeen years they served the people of Senegal. Today, Joe and his wife Deb are helping to build the next generation of leaders throughout all of Africa and the developing nations around the globe. If you thought you traveled alot, you should see Joe's passport! This photo was taken in Cote d'Ivoire, Africa.
Joe and his team bring a wholistic ministry approach that equips communities to experience and be transformed by the power of the Gospel. It helps people in community to become all God intends them to be. In this God-empowered, relational process, experienced facilitators assist the people of a community to grow in their ability to solve problems and to reproduce this process in others. Through this process, individual and collective thought and behavior are transformed, resulting in personal growth and improvement of community (health, agriculture, water, and relationships) for the glory of God.
When sin entered the world, mankind experienced whole life brokenness. Not only are we separated from God by our sin, but we also suffer physical illness, harsh environmental conditions, and broken relationships.
whole life brokenness
the most are the poor.
Consider the Facts:
- Almost half of the world's population (3 billion people) lives on less than two dollars a day, adjusted for purchasing power. (www.worldbank.org)
- 840 million people in the world don't have enough to eat. (www.wfp.org)
- 10 million children die every year from easily preventable diseases. (www.unicef.org)
Isaiah 61:1
"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners."
